VNA HEALTH AT HOME ACHIEVES 4-STAR QUALITY AND PATIENT SATISFACTON RATING

VNA Health at Home has achieved a 4-star rating for both quality and patient satisfaction from CMS Care Compare.

VNA Health at Home, an affiliate of Waterbury HEALTH, is one of the largest and oldest visiting nurse associations in the area, serving the Greater Waterbury region for over 80 years. The star rating is from Centers for Medicare Services Care Compare, a tool that helps patients and their caregivers choose quality nursing home care.

VNA’s multidisciplinary team includes skilled nurses, therapists, social workers, and home health aides who deliver high-quality, compassionate care to every patient. VNA’s caregivers carry out personalized treatment plans that meet patients’ specific needs and help them regain their health and independence. VNA serves more than 2,500 patients making 36,765 home visits last year.

VNA Health at Home has repeatedly been awarded the Patient Satisfaction Award of Distinction by Fazzi Associates, which recognizes the top 25% of home health organizations for superior performance in patient satisfaction based on the results of a national, standardized survey.

According to CMS, Care Compare is a tool for people with Medicare or their caregivers who want to choose a Medicare provider (like physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and others). The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that runs the Medicare program, created this tool in collaboration with organizations representing people with Medicare, hospice organizations, other stakeholders, and other federal agencies. Although the tool was created for people with Medicare in mind, many of the measures shown here apply to people who may not have Medicare.
