Meet Monica

Monica is a Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses Winner and she was nominated by a fellow nurse.

Monica is an emergency department nurse, and she embraces all the characteristics of what nursing is. She is caring, professional, diligent and has exceptional communication skills.

Most importantly, she provides compassionate care as if her patients were her family members.

Monica is the backbone of the emergency department.

She takes the time to educate her patients in a busy, high-acuity setting and she takes time to orient and precept our new nurses. 

No nurse deserves this nursing award more than Monica. You will not meet a nurse who cares more about her patients and about providing them with the best care possible. Her empathy for others is remarkable, befitting of Florence Nightingale. She is truly a treasure!
